Author: Mo Stegall, "Against all Odds: I CAN BE" on "VeeVee's POV (December 30th)

A visionary, pioneer and journeyman, Mo Stegall transcends any medium he touches. From media personality and producer to philanthropist, empowerment speaker and author, his creativity, wit and engaging persona have earned him recognition as an emerging community leader.

A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Mr. Stegall has enjoyed a successful career as a radio and television personality, which afforded him opportunities to work with the BET Hip-Hop Awards the CMA Awards, and countless recognizable entertainers and community leaders. But his deepest passion and desire is personal growth and development and to empower others to achieve greatness. And with a warm and captivating presence, he has integrated his television/radio career with his desire to serve.

Over the years, Stegall has travelled the country educating encouraging, and empowering individuals and
communities as keynote or guest speaker for numerous community organizations and fortune 500 companies on a variety of topics including Personal Development, Youth Empowerment, Faith and HIV/AIDS Awareness, all of which he has personal testimonies and experiences. Stegall’s gift for effortlessly engaging his audience has also earned him roles alongside best-selling author Hill Harper on the UNCF HBCU Empower Me Tour, and as the Youth Empowerment Ambassador for the National Urban League “I AM Empowered” campaign with the One Economy organization.

Stegall is also an active HIV/AIDS activist. An avid supporter of HIV/AIDS education, awareness and prevention the film is a ravishing depiction of two women and their families, including his own mother,living and coping with the virus. Since losing his mother to the disease he has worked tirelessly to lead and support HIV/AIDS education.

In front of the camera Mo Stegall engages viewers with his comical wit and personable approach. He has appeared on both local and national commercials, infomercials, and television broadcasts. As a child, he dreamed of being a sports commentator and imagined himself playing Nintendo and Sega video games in front of large crowds.

His vision to connect with people through media became a reality when, in 2002, he launched his own talk and entertainment show entitled The S.E.L.F Show. Now as Executive Producer, the show has been coined "The Voice for Youth" and is viewed in more than 30 countries around the world. He is also the creator and host of the online syndicated radio talk show entitled Talk About It Today! With Mo Stegall.
